SSSC (Science Student Success Centre) helps all undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science define and achieve their academic, career, and social goals.

Carleton University has one of the best university greenhouses in Canada! This facility is used for research, teaching, and display to the general public.

Neuroscience lab is located in our new Academic Health and Science Building. The design and layout of the labs, offices and workspace are such to help encourage and facilitate collaborative interaction between faculty and students.

Meet some of your future professors

Dr. Iain McKinnell is a Biology and Biochemistry instructor at Carleton since 2010. He specializes in human anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, and embryology. Iain creates innovative teaching tools such as human plastinates and game-based apps for anatomy learning, and he has been awarded several teaching awards, including the 2023 Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award.

Dr. Jim Davies and Dr. Kim Hellemans are the minds and voices behind Minding the Brain Podcast. Dr Davis is a professor at the Institute of Cognitive Science and the School of Computer Science. Dr. Hellemans is an Assistant Professor in Neuroscience and Associate Dean of Science.
