  • September 17, 2026: OUAC and direct applications open for Winter and Fall 2027
  • October 15, 2026: Deadline for international students to apply for the Winter 2027 term (students whose transcripts originate outside of Canada or the US)
  • November 15, 2026 – Deadline for students to apply for the Winter 2027 term (students whose transcripts originate from within Canada or the US)
  • November 28, 2026: Virtual Open House
  • March 1, 2027: Deadline to apply for a Prestige Scholarship
  • March 1, 2027: Application deadline for students applying to:
    • Bachelor of Architectural Studies*
    • Bachelor of Industrial Design*
    • Bachelor of Music*
    • Bachelor of Social Work*
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with RN Prescribing*
  • March 5, 2027: Additional admission material deadlines*
  • April 1, 2027: Main deadline to apply for international students (whose transcripts originate outside Canada or the US)*
  • June 1, 2027: General application deadline for fall admission (for students whose transcripts originate from within Canada or the US)*

*Some programs have early application deadlines and additional admission material.

Awards/Scholarships

Carleton’s scholarships are available to international students. Find out about our automatic entrance scholarships (no application required); and Carleton’s Prestige Scholarships for students with a minimum of 90% and impressive extracurricular activities and community involvement. An application is required for the Prestige Scholarships – deadline March 1.

President’s Welcome Award for International Students

International applicants to an undergraduate degree program starting in September 2027 will be automatically considered for our President’s Welcome Award for International Students, valued at $2,000 to $5,000 CAD, depending on their grades at the time of admission. It is offered in addition to other entrance scholarships, including automatic entrance scholarships.

New: BorderPass and Carleton University

To help our students complete their study permit application with confidence, Carleton University offers incoming international undergraduate students free access to BorderPass, an immigration application support service.

Carleton’s International Admissions and Recruitment Team visits over 30 countries each year. If you would like us to visit your school, please let us know by email. If we can’t see you in person, we would be happy to visit with you and your students virtually – book a custom webinar and choose from such topics as studying in Canada, campus life, admissions, scholarships, paid work-study opportunities (“Co-op”) and more!
