Program Details
The world of information technology is always evolving. What is now commonplace was once a breakthrough. As a student in one of the four Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) programs, you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to address the IT issues of today and shape the future of information technology. BIT offers four distinct programs.
Each program is offered jointly with Algonquin College and also earns you a college diploma in addition to your university degree.
- Information Resource Management (IRM), jointly with Algonquin College’s School of Health and Community Studies and grants you a Library and Information Technician diploma.
- Interactive Multimedia and Design (IMD), jointly with Algonquin College’s School of Media and Design, grants you an Advanced Diploma of Applied Arts.
- Network Technology (NET), jointly with Algonquin College’s School of Advanced Technology, grants you an Advanced Diploma in Technology.
- Optical Systems and Sensors (OSS), jointly with Algonquin College’s School of Advanced Technology, grants you an Advanced Diploma in Photonics and Laser Technology.
Work Experience
A Co-op option is available. Co-op is the opportunity to get a head start on a career. Co-op work terms allow for the development of key employability skills, exploration of career options and graduation with tangible, workplace experience.
