I’ve accepted my Carleton offer!

Give yourself a round of applause!

We are honoured that you’ve accepted your Offer of Admission from Carleton University (*cue* confetti). Your post-secondary dreams are coming true and your journey as a Raven has begun.

Receiving an offer from a university and deciding where to study is a huge accomplishment. Make sure to take some time to celebrate this amazing milestone!

What's next?

Now that the confetti has cleared, you might be wondering, “Have I checked all the boxes?”, “What do I need to do next?”, “When will I hear more from Carleton?”. Don’t worry, we’ve got you! The next major admissions-related event is course registration which takes place in May. Until then, it’s important to stay engaged in your studies and continue to grow your connection with Carleton.

Here are a few things for your to-do list:

Keep up the hard work

In order to retain your Offer of Admission, you must satisfy certain conditions applicable to your type of education. Each program has specific requirements, including overall and prerequisite averages, so review the conditions carefully.

Your Offer of Admission will include information on the status of your other program choices (if applicable). If you are eligible for another choice, and if there is space available in that program, you can be given an Offer of Admission. If a program becomes full, you will not receive an Offer of Admission, even if you were previously eligible. If you have any questions about eligible programs, please contact admissions@carleton.ca.

Entrance Scholarships

Reminder that if you have been admitted to Carleton with a scholarship, a letter will be included with your offer. The letter will outline the details of the award and provide you with information on how the scholarship is paid. High school students receiving an Entrance Scholarship will have their award reassessed up until we receive their second semester midterm marks.

Bursaries

A bursary is a monetary award similar to a scholarship, but it's awarded primarily on financial need rather than academic achievement. Visit the Awards and Financial Aid website to find out more about Bursaries, including eligibility and how to apply.

Additional awards

Visit the Awards and Financial Aid website for additional information on funding your education.

If you received a first-year guaranteed Offer of Residence and would like to reserve your place, you must follow the steps on the Housing and Residence Life Services website to confirm your Offer of Residence and pay the Residence Advance Payment on Carleton Central by June 9, 2025.

If you did not receive a guaranteed residence offer with your admission to Carleton, please visit the Housing and Residence Life Services website for more information on how to apply for residence accommodation.
