High School Workshop: Cognitive Science

Cognitive Science Workshop

Join Dr. Jim Davies, professor in Carleton University’s Department of Cognitive Science, for one of two exciting lecture themes:

  • Option 1 – Time Management Lecture
In college and university, students have a lot more freedom with their time. As a result, some students procrastinate and end up falling behind. By learning to manage their time effectively, students can take advantage of this freedom and be productive, relaxed and have fun! In this talk, Dr. Jim Davies discusses time and energy management from a scientific perspective to help students succeed in their studies and the rest of their lives.
  • Option 2 – Imagination and Dreams Lecture
Dr. Jim Davies is a world expert on imagination. In this talk, Dr. Davies will discuss the difference between imagination and creativity, how imagination can impact wellness, and why we dream.

Available lecture dates: December 8 and December 15, 2023
