At the Grade 10 Family Night, we’ll share insight on prerequisites and discuss how the decisions you make now will help set you up for success when applying to university. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from an award-winning Carleton Cognitive Science professor, Dr. Jim Davies, and experience the excitement of a university lecture! View the full schedule.

6:00 p.m. – Welcome and introductions, 2200 Richcraft Hall

6:15 p.m. – Keynote speaker: Dr. Jim Davies, Professor, Department of Cognitive Science

Time Management Lecture: In college and university, students have a lot more freedom with their time. As a result, some students procrastinate and end up falling behind. By learning to manage their time effectively, students can take advantage of this freedom and be productive, relaxed and have fun! In this talk, Dr. Jim Davies discusses time and energy management from a scientific perspective to help students succeed in their studies and the rest of their lives.
