Innovation Hub

At the heart of Carleton’s new Nicol Building, you’ll find the Innovation Hub, an ideal place for students from across the university to discuss the big issues of our time, turn ideas into action and build new ventures to create a better world for all.

Clubs and societies

Our extensive network of clubs and societies is another great way to meet new people and pursue your interests outside the classroom. With more than 170 active clubs and societies to choose from, you will certainly find a venue for your academic, social, political or charitable interests.

“I got involved with the Sock ‘n’ Buskin (SnB) in my first year at Carleton. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to direct, stage manage, act, and work backstage in nine shows. What makes SnB special is that it’s more than just a theatre company; it’s a friendship company. We’re a diverse group of people, but our common interest in theatre makes us a strong community. With SnB, I’ve learned about effective communication, teamwork, and leadership, but above all I’ve learned the value of friendship.”
