Happy September!

Fall is right around the corner and we’ve just welcomed students back to campus – it’s been wonderful to see students engaging in person again! While some students are on campus, many continue to study online and they too are able to engage with the wider community through learning and orientation programming. No matter the format, we’re all excited for the academic year ahead!

Fall 2021

Thank you for your hard work with the fall 2021 intake. Please share a list of enrolled students for review in advance of the commission payment process. If you have students with outstanding documents or issues for this academic year, please contact Rob Finlayson directly (robert.finlayson@carleton.ca). For questions about study permits, travel and quarantine plans, or health insurance, please contact the International Student Services Office: isso@carleton.ca.

Incoming students - COVID-19 Support

We understand that some students may prefer to wait until a full return to in-person learning. If you have applicants who wish to defer their fall 2021 offer to a future term, a list of the programs that are available for Winter (January 2022) or Fall (September 2022) are listed on our deferral page, along with the form to request a deferral.

PLEASE NOTE: If any of your students are deferring to a future term they will need to de-register from any courses they are currently enrolled in by September 30, otherwise they will incur fees.

Winter 2022

The winter 2022 application is now open (September 8 to October 15). Please apply as soon as possible, as programs are filling quickly. Not all programs are available to start in winter – see what’s available for the January 2022 term.

Fall Events for 2022 Recruitment

Students will have many opportunities to connect with Carleton this fall. Please tell your students to keep an eye on our upcoming events – with many tailored specifically for international students, including sessions on programs, our campus community, opportunities to hear from current students and more!

Would you like to have Carleton attend your events? We are keen to support your efforts to attract excellent candidates to our programs. Please reach out to Rob Finlayson (robert.finlayson@carleton.ca) about participation in recruitment events or to explore opportunities to partner on custom activities.

Need Materials?

We are looking forward to seeing you in person again, once international travel resumes. In the meantime, if you need physical materials please message Rob Finlayson (robert.finlayson@carleton.ca). Our International Admissions Viewbook (pdf) for 2022 is available online and can be easily shared with prospective students. You will also receive a separate email with our new logo, updated campus photos and more – we trust these items will be helpful as you market Carleton in the months ahead!

NEW - Third Party Form

Carleton has a new online Third Party Form, integrated with our student portal, Carleton360 – the same system that is used to create and submit applications. Future students can fill out the Third Party Form authorizing you as their agent after they submit an application. This form provides the legal basis to share what is otherwise private and protected information, and associates the application to your agency. A separate document is no longer required.

Take a Virtual Tour

Our self-guided virtual tour is now available in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish! Have a look at Carleton’s beautiful riverside campus, labs, classrooms, residence and outdoor spaces. Students and families can also request (international@carleton.ca) a live guided virtual tour led by an international admissions officer who will answer questions, and provide tips and useful information.
