Good to know: there is no financial commitment required when students accept an offer, and we don’t require final grades if they’re not yet available, but accepting will secure a spot in the program. To accept an offer students need to log in to Carleton360 to view and accept the offer on the Admission Offer Details page.
Guaranteed Residence
Living in residence is a great opportunity to make friends and connect with other students while taking full advantage of campus life. Carleton offers a guaranteed spot in residence to students applying to an undergraduate degree directly from high school – if they receive an offer of admission by May 13. If you are working with students who have yet to be admitted, please reach out for support and we can let you know what is needed at this time. Students who don’t receive an offer of admission by May 13 can apply to live in residence with space allocated on a first come first served basis. Applying for a Study Permit - Top Tips
It’s important that students apply for a study permit as soon as they accept their offer of admission. Carleton’s certified immigration advisors have put together a series of short videos about applying for a study permit, and will be available for Q&As – watch our event page for upcoming dates or contact immigration.advising@carleton.ca. Please note: Students can apply for a study permit with a conditional offer. In many cases, the conditions are that final grades are provided when they are available, so conditions are simply removed or fulfilled at that time. Typically no ‘final’ or ‘unconditional’ offers are necessary. We are happy to provide guidance on specific circumstances.
While we are past the April 1 deadline to apply, students still interested in starting studies at Carleton in September 2022 can apply to programs that have space. See what programs are still open and apply as soon as possible. Visit our How To Apply page for detailed information or reach out to robert.finlayson@carleton.ca for direct assistance.
