Partnership Agreement

A formal partnership will be established between Carleton University and its secondary school partner upon the signing of a Partnership Agreement. The Partnership Agreement will remain in effect for four years. Upon termination of the agreement, the University and the high school partner will conduct an evaluation to determine whether the Partnership Agreement should be renewed.

Partnership Activities

Each partnership will be facilitated by a Carleton University coordinator and high school contact. Each partnership is unique, and partners may wish to have a customized focus (for example, a particular academic subject area, technology, multimedia, and so on). The contacts are also encouraged to facilitate a broad range of projects and activities that allow the high school students to benefit from Carleton’s faculty, facilities and programs.

Partnership Benefits

See our Benefits page to find out the opportunities available to our Partner Schools.

Meetings

A meeting is held each academic year with all of the Carleton University Partnership Coordinators and high school contacts. This meeting provides the partners with an opportunity to discuss their individual high school’s partnership activities as well as suggesting new joint initiatives for all partnerships to benefit.

Budget

Each partnership will have access to seed monies to assist with expenditures related to Partnership activities. Expenditure requests must be submitted to, and be approved by, the Office of the Vice-President (Academic).
