About
Carleton’s Department of History invites you to experience the secret history of medieval and early print books in a printmaking and penwork workshop!
To become a historian, you need to understand your sources. This workshop will introduce you to the history of the book and will teach key techniques used to communicate information in medieval and early modern books.
You will have the opportunity to try your hand at medieval-style penwork or spend time examining the manuscripts and rare books in Carleton’s Archives and Special Collections. The event will also feature a complimentary lunch in the residence dining hall and a tour of the Carleton campus.
