If you’ve accepted your offer of admission and, if applicable, your offer of residence, then you may be wondering what’s next. A great first step is to review the CU Start: Transition Guide. The CU Start: Transition Guide helps you prepare for course registration, campus life, finances and more.
The next significant step is to register for courses. A Timetable Builder tool will be available on Carleton Central as of May 26, 2017. The Timetable Builder tool helps you plan your course schedule in advance of registration.
Registration at Carleton University begins on June 6, 2017 for students who have accepted an offer of admission. Registration is divided into registration blocks called time tickets. When your time ticket opens, you can log in to Carleton Central and register for your courses. You are encouraged to register for courses in both the fall and winter terms as soon as your time ticket begins. If you have questions about registration, you can contact the Registrar’s Office at 1-613-520-3500. If your question is regarding your offer of admission, please contact the Undergraduate Recruitment Office/Admissions Services at 1-888-354-4414 or locally at 613-520-3663. Our offices are offering extended hours for assistance during first-year registration time tickets on June 6, 7 and 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
For more information on the Timetable Builder tool and registration, please visit the Registration website.
The next opportunity that you can participate in is Summer Orientation. All first-year students and their family members are encouraged to participate. Summer Orientation is a one-day session that includes informative presentations, small-group activities, and academic advising. The one-day Summer Orientation sessions run in July and August, and help you enter university informed and confident. Summer Orientation also includes an Overnight Orientation option on July 14, where you can spend a night in residence. Please visit the Student Experience Office website to sign up for Summer Orientation.
