Staff Development Program

The High School Partnership Staff Development Program provides an opportunity for one staff member to attend a Carleton University undergraduate or graduate level course for audit or credit (subject to course availability and prerequisites) during the fall/winter (September-April) or summer (May-August) academic session.

  • Does it cost anything to participate?
    No, it does not. Once the candidate has been accepted, the tuition fees for the course are waived.
  • How do I participate in this program?
    The Principal from each Partner school nominates a candidate for the Partnership Staff Development Program no later than June 30 for the fall/winter and April 15 for the summer session.
  • How do I know if I have been accepted?
    Once the candidate has been accepted, a letter of approval and a registration information package will be sent directly to the candidate. Tuition fees for the course are waived.

Specialized Campus Tours

General Campus Tours and Faculty appointments are available through the Undergraduate Recruitment Office. If there are fewer than 5 students, feel free to book your tour online, otherwise group tours should be reserved through Ashley Reid at 520-2600 ext. 1671.

Partners’ Conference

Carleton University’s Partners’ Conference is offered exclusively to Carleton University’s Partner High Schools. It’s a perfect opportunity for Grade 11 students to learn about the research and teaching specializations at Carleton, as well as to meet other students from our partnership schools. Students are selected by the school partner contact. Please contact Doug Huckvale for more information at 520-2600 ext. 8713.
