Hello Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your summer! It has been nice to have a little time off to relax and catch up on sleep. Although school is over for the summer there are still lots of opportunities to get involved on campus. This past week I had the privilege of participating in the Junior Achievement program where I was able to work with industry professionals to deliver a presentation to grade five students on Business Basics. We taught four modules which included organization, management, production and marketing. I am very happy I helped facilitate this presentation as I was able to further my leadership and presentation skills. The presentation was also very interactive, so students had a lot of fun too! It was a chance to share some of my experiences in business, which students found very interesting. I think the Junior Achievement Program is great because it creates awareness of business and entrepreneurship at a very young age, so that the students have knowledge for the future. Overall, it was a really rewarding experience and I hope to participate in this program again.
