A Successful Return

Hello everyone,

I have successfully returned to my studies at Carleton. This term all my courses are in the evening, which suits me fine. I also tend to be more attentive in the evening which helps.

I am enrolled in my first Cognitive Science course (Introduction to Cognitive Science) this semester and it has been very interesting so far! I highly recommend Cognitive Science courses for anyone interested in Psychology, Philosophy, Anthropology or Linguistics. The course schema covers many fields of  study and merges different social science topics into a common universal subject. I have also learned about the MITECS library database, which is accessible to all Carleton students. This database has tons of literature from the luminaries of Cognitive Science.

The second course I am taking (which complements Introduction to Cognitive Science) is Foundations of Developmental Psychology. I am learning all about child development and some of its biological components. I have always been interested in the nature vs. nurture debate and this term I have hit the jackpot! I certainly made good choices in selecting my courses (special thanks to Psychology Department).

I will continue to update my blog throughout the term.

See you on Campus.

Ray
