Hello everyone!

It has been a very busy summer for me so far. I have been working full-time, hanging out with friends, attending conferences, events and lots of weddings. This past month was very exciting as I got to attend the Indian International Film Academy Awards which took place in Toronto. It is basically like the Indian version of the Academy Awards. Since I was little, I have always been a die hard fan of Bollywood and was very fortunate to attend the event as a VIP guest. I got to talk directly with the actors, directors, singers and producers. There were also actors from Hollywood at the event including Hilary Swank and Cuba Gooding Jr. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget!

On another note, I know most of you have probably registered for classes by now and I hope that it went well! I remember when I first started at Carleton, I found the registration process to be a little confusing. However, you definitely get used to it over the years. If you need any help, or have any questions about registering for courses, contact the Student Registration Assistance Team. Soon, you will all be registration pros!

Another cool thing that Carleton offers is Summer and Fall Orientation. Summer Orientation is already underway and runs until August 20. It is a great opportunity to learn more about your program and meet some of your professors and fellow classmates. Also make sure to register for Fall Orientation which takes place in early September!
