Decisions, decisions…
Hey everyone,
Wow, I can’t believe that one month of summer is almost over. How time flies!
I decided that I would start this post with a little update. This summer I am working in the marketing and communications department of a local company. It is definitely a job that keeps me busy. One thing I love about working is that I can gain relevant experience while applying theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom.
I also have four weddings to go to this summer which will be lots of fun! My favorite part of weddings is dancing at the reception and, of course, catching up with family and friends!
On another note, for all the high school students out there, I know the deadline for choosing a university is quickly approaching. It is a big decision! I understand what all of you are going through right now, not only because I went through it not too long ago, but also because I have a younger sister who is graduating this year.
I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you all again why I chose Carleton. I chose Carleton because of its great atmosphere, welcoming environment, small class sizes, caring professors and the numerous clubs and societies for student to get involved in.
To help you decide which university to attend, I would suggest taking a tour of the campus, sitting in on a class and definitely talking to upper-year students to get their advice. I know when I was thinking about coming to Carleton, I took a tour and it gave me a really good idea of what it would be like to be a CU student. I also have a lot of friends who went to Carleton and talking to them reassured me that Carleton was a great school and that I was making a good decision!
Good luck to all those making this important decision and I hope that some of my advice was helpful.
Thanks for reading!
