Hi blog-readers,

My second-last semester of university is officially over! I actually didn’t have any exams this semester, just papers to write as final assignments.

I had one paper worth 70 per cent of my final mark which was crazy to think about! I tried not to stress over this and to just focus on my topic. I find it more interesting to write papers on topics that I choose rather than on topics that I am assigned. My advice: try to write about topics that interest you, it makes the paper go by faster and helps with articulating your ideas!

I will be traveling home for Christmas soon. The break is much-needed by this time of year. I also took courses this past summer so this feels like my first real break in a long time. I’m really looking forward to spending time with my family and having amazing home-cooked meals.

I also can’t believe that university is almost done for me. When I come back to Ottawa in January, it will be my last semester of university. I recently applied to graduate as well. I have mixed feelings about ending my undergraduate university career. In some ways, I feel really proud of myself and happy that these four years are almost over as its been a long and difficult ride. But at the same time, I feel really nervous to start my education somewhere else (I am starting a college program next September) and live away from Ottawa. Being closer to home for my next degree will also be interesting.
